Review of the 2013 Subaru Forester

2013 Forester
Pro
Spacious cabin area, ample cargo space, all wheel drive, and strong turbo changed engine for great performance.
Introduction
If you are in need of a top quality SUV that gives you ample space for kids, huge cargo area, and the much needed height for a good view of the road, you must choose the 2013 Subaru Forester. The sporty car can tackle the rugged outdoors pretty well and you will get some good driving experience once you ride it. Controls are easily accessible and with mediocre interiors and average material quality, Subaru Forester is the most spacious vehicle in its segment.
Exterior Design and Special Features
There are six variants of the compact crossover, and the base version has features like a 16 inch wheel, cruise controls, keyless entry, power steering with tilt only facility, and adjustable driver seat. The ground clearance is few inches more than others and the car is a winner in muddy or sandy roads. You will get good roof rails where even you can carry bikes or heavier equipments. The Bluetooth audio and phone connectivity along with a 4 speaker sound plus a CD player gives you some relief while driving. As you move up the versions, you get a bigger wheel, rear privacy glass, sunroof, exterior trims, reclining rear seat. The upper versions have powerful engines and heated front seats and mirrors. If you add certain packages available with the variants, you get more features like a better navigation system and touch screen audio interfaces. Other added features are available like auto climate control, rear view camera, cargo area trays, and a better sound system. Some upper versions are shrouded with xenon headlights, folding rear seat backs, satellite radio or subwoofer with the sound system.
Engine
The car has powerful engine which varies from one variant to the other. The standard is the combination of a 170 HP with 174 lb feet torque with four 2.5 liters cylinders. It takes around 10 seconds for a 2.5X Trim. The fuel economy is around 21 mpg to 27 mpg varying from city to highway. The 2.5XT trim gets a changed version of the same engine. Hence it can take 6.8 seconds to rise to 60 mph and that?s quickest among the SUVs of its kind.
Safety
With every 2013 Subaru Forester you will get antilock brakes, front and side airbags, traction and stability control, side curtain airbags among the others. You will also get child seat anchors, emergency braking systems, anti theft alarms and ventilated front discs in almost all the variants. The day time running lights, the headrests, the engine immobilizers and auto delay off headlamps are some added features. Apart from these you may expect passenger whiplash protection systems, adjustable headrests and tire pressure monitoring to mention a few.
