Introduction
Chrysler 200 mid-sedan mainly is a carryover model for the year 2012. The Chrysler 200, which is also available in a convertible trim, offers outstanding craftsmanship and innovative technology. It brings a perfect combination of enthusiastic driving experience and modern safety features. Chrysler has introduced some major suspension upgrades and improved acoustics, especially for people who look for style and substance along with a quiet cabin. Chrysler 200, with all new interior and classy yet bold exteriors, comes equipped with latest safety equipment such advanced multi-stage front passenger air bags, electronic stability control (ESC), four-wheel ABS and electronic traction control among many others.
Exterior Design and Special Features
The Chrysler 200 sedan, with all new upgrades and enhancements, flaunts a totally unique and confident identity. Exterior and sheet metal upgrades include front and rear fascias and fenders, grille featuring the new Chrysler brand winged badge, new hood, LED positioning light pipe in front headlamps, rear deck lid and exterior mirrors. Adding to the appealing look of the new sedan are new projector headlamps and fog lamps, new LED taillamps and an LED center high-mounted stoplight. Quite a few new features, such as heated side mirrors and variable intermittent windshield wipers, have been added to make the sedan ever more appealing. Power sunroof is available as an option.
The interiors of the Chrysler 200 sedan look plush and inviting. The all-new instrument panel, bezels, gauge face and new Chrysler steering wheel transform the cabin atmosphere. The revised spring geometry incorporated seats are luxurious to the core. There are new heating cooling outlets in the instrument panel that complete the fully functional interior of the sedan.
The new Chrysler 200 sedan incorporates advance features to keep them well connected all the time. The new Chrysler brand steering wheel features integrated controls that allow the driver to operate the radio, cruise control, hands-free phone and other vehicle functions while keeping their hands on the wheel. Drivers can stay connected throughout their journey with an available media center with voice command that is easy to use and offers radio, SIRIUS Satellite Radio, a 30 gigabyte hard drive, iPod connectivity, streaming music capability and a navigation system with SIRIUS Travel Link, which provides real-time information.
Engine
The Chrysler 200 is powered by a 2.4-liter World Gas Engine. The powerful engine, mated to a new six-speed transmission, brings an exceptionally fun and fuel efficient driving experience. The 2.4-liter I-4 engine produces 173 horsepower and 166 lb.-ft. of torque. The Chrysler 200 is also available with a new 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine, which produces 283 horsepower and 260 lb.-ft. of torque and is mated to the 62TE six-speed transmission, which was introduced for people wanting an exhilarating driving experience and exceptional fuel economy. The 2.4-liter World Gas Engine has also been mated to a four-speed automatic transmission for the value conscious consumers. The 200 sedan is available in front wheel drive option.
Safety
The Chrysler 200 comes laced with a wide range of safety features standard advanced multi-stage front passenger air bags, active head restraints, electronic stability control (ESC), front seat side air bags, side curtain air bags, four-wheel anti-lock brakes (ABS), electronic traction control, Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children (LATCH) child seat anchor system and available Uconnect voice command.
